Getting Started


Set Up

  1. Connect the device to an outlet with the power cord. The device will automatically turn on.
  2. Connect the device to the TV with the HDMI cable.
  3. Plug in the AireMouse USB into one of the device's USB ports.
  4. Mount the device on the TV or place near the TV with the camera facing you.

Power On/Off and Sleep

When you connect the device to a power source, the device will automatically turn on. If not, press the power button.

indicates that the device is on.

  • To sleep the device, press the power button.
  • To turn off the device, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

indicates that the device is sleeping.

  • To wake the device, press the power button.

While using AireCenter, click the icon in the black bottom bar to sleep or turn off the device.

Start Using Device

When you start your device for the first time, you will be required to do a few steps:

  1. Select the default language for AireCenter.
  2. Adjust AireCenter display to fit your screen. Do this by clicking the "+" or "-" icons on the screen until the white borders appear around the edge of the screen.
  3. Connect to the internet. You can do this either through Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
    • For Wi-Fi, select the network you wish to connect to and input the password.
    • For Ethernet, plug in the Ethernet cable and AireCenter will automatically connect.

When you are done, you will be taken to AireCenter's home screen.

Sign up for features

To make the most use of your AireCenter device, sign up for the following:

AireTalk
AireTalk

AireTalk is AireCenter's key feature, which lets you call, video call, conference call, share media, and more through your TV. AireTalk also provides home security.

To create an AireTalk account, click the AireTalk icon on the homepage.
Create a username and enter your email address. When you are finished, click "Done."

Google Account
Google Play

Your Google account will be needed to access the Google Play store and download apps on your TV.

Click on the Apps icon and select the Google Play icon.

Add Google Account

You will be taken to this page.

If you already have a Google account, choose "Existing" and sign in with your username and password.

If you do not have a Google account, choose "New" and create a new account by following the instructions on the screen.

Basic Operations

Open applications

Select the desired application from the home screen or app page. Click the left mouse button to open the selected application.

Switch applications

Click the switch icon in the black bottom bar to view recently used applications. Click the application screenshot to switch applications.

Close applications

Click the switch icon to view recently used applications. Click and hold an application to select it, and drag it up or down to a blank area to close it.

Go back to home screen

Click the home icon to return to the home screen.

Go back to previous screen

Click the back icon or click the right mouse button to return to the previous screen.

Take screenshots

Click the screenshot icon to capture the screen. The screenshot will be stored in your Gallery.

Hide bottom bar

Click the hide icon to hide the bottom bar. To make the bottom bar reappear, click the bottom of the screen and drag up to the top of the screen.

Read external storage data

USB flash drive
Insert a USB flash drive or removable hard disk into a USB port. Go to Apps and click on File Browser (under Tools or All Apps), click on the House icon, and the USB drive will appear under Local Disk.

MicroSD card
Insert a microSD card into the microSD card slot. Go to Apps and click on File Browser (under Tools or All Apps), click on the House icon, and the microSD will appear under Local Disk.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi settings

From the home screen, select Settings. Under the Network tab, select Wi-Fi.

Choose a network and input the password.

Ethernet
Ethernet settings

Insert an Ethernet cable.

From the home screen, select Settings. Under the Network tab, select Ethernet.

Bluetooth
Bluetooth settings

From the home screen, select Settings. Under the Other tab, select More settings, then Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is ON.

Click "Not visible to other Bluetooth devices." The menu will turn to "Visible ot all nearby Bluetooth devices," and a 2 minute countdown will begin.

Select the target device within 2 minutes and it will be connected automatically. Some devices require a pairing code (usually 0000 or 1234).

WLAN hotspot
WLAN settings

From the home screen, select Settings. Under the Other tab, select More settings, then More.... Click Portable hotspot and select "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot."

Sleect "Set up Wi-Fi hotspot" and create Network SSID, Security, and Password parameters.

To access AireCenter's hotspot on other devices, select the Network SSID you created and enter the password.


AireTalk


Overview

AireTalk is a communication app in AireCenter. With AireTalk, you can message, call, and video call anyone on your friend list. You can also leave voice messages and transfer media (such as photos, videos, music, and files). AireTalk also lets you call others outside of the AireTalk app for the lowest rates through AireCall.

The AireTalk homepage is your friend list.

Access AireTalk:

  1. From the homepage, click on the AireTalk icon.
  2. Or while using AireSecurity, AireFolder, or Shopping, click the AireTalk icon in the sidebar.
Add AireTalk friends

  1. To add another AireTalk user as a friend, click on the Add friend button next to the friend list search bar.
  2. Type in your friend's AireTalk username, and the search results will appear below.
  3. Click on your friend's avatar and confirm to add them to your friend list.

*Note: If the contact you want to add is not a current AireTalk member, please have them download AireTalk on their PC or mobile device:

  • Android: Google Play
  • iOS: App Store
  • PC: Windows PC
Call
Select call

  1. To call a friend, click on the friend's avatar.
  2. A window will pop up. Click call button

Calling screen

During the call, several options are available:

  • Mic icon Mute or unmute your microphone.
  • Dialpad icon Bring up a dialpad to dial extensions.
  • Hold icon Put the call on hold. Click it again to resume the call.
  • Minimize icon Minimize the call screen. To return to the call screen, click on the friend's avatar.

To end the call, click End call button

Video call
Select video call

  1. To video call, click on a friend's avatar.
  2. A window will pop up. Click video call button

Video call screen

During the video call, you can bring up call options by moving the mouse or clicking on the screen. The options will fade away after a few seconds of inactivity or if you click the screen again. Video call options are the same as a regular call, with the addition of Video icon, which will turn your video camera on or off.

To end the call, click End call button

Message
Select chat

  1. To read a message or send a message, click on a friend's avatar.
  2. A window will pop up. Click chat button

Your message history with the friend will appear. On the message history page, you can read previous messages, listen to voice messages, and view shared media. To delete message history, click the delete icon in the upper right corner.

To send a message:

  1. Click the text box at the bottom and type in your message. You can also add emoticons by clicking emoticon icon.
  2. When you are done with your message, click send.
Share media
Select media
  1. To share media with a friend, click on the friend's avatar and select chat button
  2. Click media button to share photos or videos, or click file transfer button to share other types of files.

To view any media that others have sent you, click on the item in the message history. Some kinds of shared files must be downloaded before you can open the file. See the AireFolder section about how to download files.

Voice message
Select voice message
  1. To leave a voice message for a friend, click on the friend's avatar and select chat button
  2. Click voice message button
  3. A window will pop up, and the voice recording will start automatically. To stop recording and send the message, click done button
  4. If you wish to discard your recording and not send it, click cancel button

To listen to a voice message left for you, click on the item in the message history.

Block friends
Select block

Blocking a friend prevents the friend from calling you or sending you messages.

  1. On the friend list page, click the block icon next to the search bar.
  2. Select the friends you want to block and click block button
  3. A confirmation message will pop up. Confirm that you wish to block the friend.
  4. When you are done, click the block icon next to the search bar to return to the regular friend list.
Delete friends
Select delete

Deleting a friend removes that friend from your friend list.

  1. On the friend list page, click the delete icon next to the search bar.
  2. Select the friends you want to block and click delete button
  3. A confirmation message will pop up. Confirm that you wish to delete the friend.
  4. When you are done, click the block icon next to the search bar to return to the regular friend list.
Create groups
Select group

Groups allow you to message or conference call with every member at the click of a button.

  1. To create a group, click on the Groups tab in AireTalk's bottom bar.
  2. Click create group button located next to the search bar.
  3. Enter a group name and select the friends you wish to include in the group.
  4. Click create group button and a confirmation message will pop up.
  5. You can create a group avatar by clicking on the avatar and selecting a picture to use.
  6. After you have confirmed, your new group will appear in the group list.
AireCall
AireCall

AireCall allows you to call any landline or mobile number for the lowest rates.

  1. To AireCall someone, click on the AireCall tab in AireTalk's bottom bar.
  2. Select a contact from your address list or enter in a phone number on the dial pad.
  3. When you enter in a number on the dial pad, a rate-per-minute number will appear for that number. Use this to determine if your AireCall account has enough money to make the call.
  4. If you need to add more money to your AireCall account, click on the shopping cart next to the remaining amount in your account. See our AireCall account section for more details.
  5. Once you are sure of everything, press call.
Conference call
Conference

Conference call allows you to have up to 15 people in one call.

  1. To conference call, click on the Conference Call tab in AireTalk's bottom bar.
  2. Select the friends you wish to include in the call. You can also include out-network numbers.
  3. Click begin conference button to begin the conference call.
  4. If you forgot to add a participant, click the add icon in the call screen and select the friend(s) you wish to include.

Conference calls have the same call options as a regular call within AireTalk.

AireTalk settings
Settings
  1. To change your AireTalk settings, click on the Settings tab in AireTalk's bottom bar.
  2. You can change these things in your AireTalk settings:
    • Profile:
      Nickname, email address, avatar picture, and status message.
      If you forgot your password, you can click "Retrieve password" and it will be sent to your email.
    • Privacy:
      Block/unblock strangers, turn on/off notification sounds, and more.
    • Video settings
      Change video bitrate and HD settings.
    • Friend list:
      Sort by name or by date added.

AireFolder

AireFolder stores all of the files you have received in AireTalk: photos, music, videos, and more.

When you download files, they are automatically sorted into different categories.

Access AireFolder:

  1. From the homepage, open AireTalk.
  2. Click the AireFolder icon in the sidebar.
Download files
Message

  1. To download files that you have received in AireTalk, go to the message page.
  2. Click the item you wish to download and hold it for a couple of seconds.
  3. A menu will pop up. Select export.
  4. The item will be saved to the appropriate category in AireFolder.
Navigation
AireFolder navigation

Click on a category from the AireFolder homepage to enter into the file navigation system. To navigate, use the following buttons:

  • Back icon Go back to previous page.
  • Home icon Got to the top page with the six different categories.
  • USB icon Go to the a USB, microSD, or other external hard drive that is plugged in. If nothing is plugged in, this option will be grayed out.
  • Search icon Search within the current folder for specific files.
  • Settings icon Go to the settings page. You can change:
    • — Text color of file names
    • — Visibility of hidden files/folders
    • — Image previews
    • — File sorting type (alphabetical, file type, or file size)
Rename a file/folder
  1. To rename a file/folder, click and hold the file/folder for a couple of seconds.
  2. A menu of options will pop up. Choose rename.
  3. Type in the new file/folder name.
Delete a file/folder
  1. To rename a file/folder, click and hold the file/folder for a couple of seconds.
  2. A menu of options will pop up. Choose Delete.
Copy/move a file/folder
  1. To copy or move a file/folder, click and hold the file for a couple of seconds.
  2. A menu of options will pop up. Choose copy or move (which will not duplicate the file/folder).
  3. Navigate to the destination folder. Click and hold the folder for a couple of seconds.
  4. A menu of options will pop up. Select Paste into folder. The file/folder will be copied or moved into the folder.
Email a file
  1. To email or send a file/folder, click and hold the file for a couple of seconds.
  2. A menu of options will pop up. Choose Email.
  3. A list of applications will appear. Select the desired application with which to send the file/folder.
Select multiple
  1. To select multiple files/folders, click the check icon and then click the files you wish to select (a green checkmark will appear next to the selected file/folder names).
  2. With multiple files/folders selected, a row of options will appear at the bottom of the folder window. You can:
    • Send files/folders by clicking Email and then selecting an application from the list that appears.
    • Delete files/folders by clicking Delete.
    • Copy or move files/folders by clicking Copy or Move respectively. Then navigate to the destination folder, click and hold the folder for a couple of seconds. A menu of options will pop up. Select Paste into folder.
  3. To exit from selecting multiple files/folders, click Cancel.
Zip a folder
  1. To zip a folder, click and hold a folder for a couple of seconds. A menu of options will pop up. Select Zip.
  2. The zipped folder will appear within the selected folder.
Extract files
  1. To extract files from a zip folder, click on the zip folder.
  2. Select Extract here to extract the files into the current folder.
  3. Select Extract to… to extract the files to a different folder. Navigate to the destination folder. Click and hold the folder for a couple of seconds. A menu with options will pop up. Choose Extract. The files will be extracted into the folder.

Shopping

In shopping, you can add money to your AireCall account, manage your security subscription plan, and shop for AireCenter accessories on your TV.

Access Shopping:

  1. From the homepage, open AireTalk.
  2. Click the Shopping icon in the sidebar.
AireCall account

AireTalk’s AireCall feature allows you to call any mobile or landline phone (even internationally) for the lowest rates.

To add money to your AireCall account:

  1. Click on the AireCall icon.
  2. You can add $10 to your account at a time. Click add button
  3. Payment will be deducted from your card and the amount will be added to your account immediately.

After adding money to your account, you can quickly return to AireCall by clicking AireCall button

AireSecurity account

AireSecurity monitors your home and alerts you of any suspicious activity. You can renew your AireSecurity subscription every month or every year.

To manage your subscription:

  1. Click on the AireSecurity icon.
  2. Check the subscription plan you want (monthly or annually). Your account will automatically be billed.

You can change your security subscription plan any time you like, but you will charged upon changing.

To deactivate your security account and cancel your subscription plan, please call 408-599-3030.

Accessories

AireCenter comes with many accessories to enhance your experience. Our accessory list includes cables, mice, keyboards, fly mice, and more.

To browse our accessory list:

  1. Click on the Accessories icon.
  2. You will be redirected to our AireCenter accessories webpage.

AireSecurity


AireSecurity will alert you of any suspicious activity in your house while you are away. You can choose to receive photo and voice alerts and see what is happening in real time.

Access AireSecurity:

  1. From the homepage, click on the Security icon.
  2. Or, from AireTalk, click the Security icon in the sidebar.

Add/delete instant contacts

Add instant contact

An instant contact is a contact with a cell phone number who will receive notifications on their mobile phone if AireSecurity detects suspicious activity.

To add an instant contact:

  1. Click + Add Instant Contact.
  2. A window will pop up. Select someone from your AireTalk friend list or address book, or manually input a 10-digit phone number.

Check Allow Monitor if you wish for an instant contact to be able to video call your AC100 and automatically see through the camera. If not, uncheck Allow Monitor.

Check Auto-Answer if you wish for AireCenter to immediately answer any video calls from the instant contact. If not, uncheck Auto-Answer.

To delete an instant contact, click the delete icon next to their name.

Activate security

AireSecurity must be turned on through AireTalk in your mobile device in order to receive notifications.

To activate security from your mobile device:

  1. Open the AireTalk app on your PC or mobile device. Download the AireTalk app:
    • Android: Google Play
    • iOS: App Store
    • PC: Windows PC
  2. In your friend list, select your AireCenter account. Tap the security icon.
  3. Press start to begin surveillance. Any motion detected in your home by AireCenter will send images to your mobile device. AireCenter will also call and send SMS messages alerting you and your other instant contacts of any breach.
  4. To stop notifications, select the AireCenter contact, tap the security icon, and press stop.

View security videos

  1. To access video recordings, click on the HISTORY tab.
  2. To watch the video, click on the video thumbnail.
  3. To save the video to another folder or external hard drive, click move button
  4. To delete the video, click delete button

Notification options

Notification options

You can receive three kinds of notifications: SMS, image, and voice call. You can also video call AC100 to view what is happening in real time if Allow Monitor is checked.

  1. To specify which notifications you would like to receive, click the settings tab.
  2. Check the notifications types you want to receive and uncheck the ones you do not.

Recording settings

Turn recording on if you wish for AC100 to record security videos when it detects suspicious activity. The video recordings can be viewed later under the history tab.

  1. To turn on/off recording, click the settings tab.
  2. Click the on/off switch next to recording to turn recording on/off.

Monitor

To be able to view your home through AireCenter's video at any time, make sure "Allow Monitor" is checked next to your instant contact.


AireSecurity must be turned on through AireTalk in your mobile device in order to monitor.

To monitor your home from your mobile device:

  1. Open the AireTalk app on your PC or mobile device. Download the AireTalk app:
    • Android: Google Play
    • iOS: App Store
    • PC: Windows PC
  2. In your friend list, select your AireCenter account.
  3. Press Video Call to call your AireCenter device and monitor your home through AireCenter's camera.

Media Center


Media Center holds your videos and music.

Access Media Center:

  1. From the homepage, click on the Media Center icon.

Listen to music

  1. Select the music tab.
  2. Click the song you wish to listen to.
  3. The song will begin to play on the media player on the homepage.
  4. To stop the music, return to the homepage and click the stop button on the media player.

Watch videos

  1. Select the video tab.
  2. Click the video you wish to watch.
  3. Select the media player with which you wish to play the video. The video will open in the fullscreen media player.
  4. Use the media player’s control buttons to play, pause, fast-forward, and rewind the video.

Apps


AireCenter is compatible with all android apps. You can download them from the Google Play store.

Apps

Apps is where all of your applications are stored.

Access Apps:

  1. From the homepage, click on the Apps icon.
  2. Apps are sorted into six categories: messages, media, games, tools, favorites, and all.

Google Play

  1. Open Apps. Under the Favorites or All Apps tabs, click on the Google Play icon.
  2. You will be taken to the Google Play store, where you can search for android apps and download them into AireCenter.

Arrange apps

  1. Click and hold an app icon for a couple of seconds.
  2. A menu listing the different tabs will appear.
  3. Select the tabs under which you would like the app to be displayed.

Uninstall, force stop, clear data, or clear cache

Apps can be managed in the homepage settings. See the app settings section for more details.

Browser

Surf the web with your TV using our Browser.

Experience web pages on the big screen.

Access the browser:

  1. Open Apps from the homepage.
  2. Go to either the Tools or All Apps tab.
  3. Click the Browser icon.

Gallery

Gallery stores all of your photos. You can edit your photos, view them in a slideshow, and even share entire albums with other people.

Access the gallery:

  1. Open Apps from the homepage.
  2. Go to either the Media or All Apps tab.
  3. Click the Gallery icon.
View photos
  1. Select an album you wish to view.
  2. Click on a picture to view it in fullscreen.
  3. To scroll through your pictures, drag the current picture to the right or left.
Slideshow
  1. To view an album as a slideshow, select the album you wish to view.
  2. Click the options icon in the upper right corner and select Slideshow.
    • If the top bar is not there, click on the picture and it will appear.
  3. To end a slideshow, click the picture.
Edit a picture
  1. Select the picture you wish to edit.
  2. Click the options icon in the upper right corner and select Slideshow.
    • If the top bar is not there, click on the picture and it will appear.

With a picture, you can delete it, edit with effects, rotate, crop, set the picture as your background or contact picture, and view the file details of the picture.

Share a picture
  1. Select the picture you wish to share.
  2. In the upper right corner of the top bar, click the share icon and select which application you would like to use to share (mail, Picasa, Bluetooth, Skype, and more).
    • If the top bar is not there, click on the picture and it will appear.
Share or delete an album
  1. Go to the page displaying all of your albums.
  2. Click the options icon in the upper right corner and select Select album.
  3. Select an album.
    • Share an album:
      Click the share icon and select which application you would like to use to share the album.
    • Delete an album:
      Click on the delete icon.
  4. When you are finished, click done in the upper left corner in the top bar.
Select multiple photos
  1. Go to the album with the pictures you wish to select.
  2. Click the options icon in the upper right corner and select Select item.
  3. Click on the pictures you wish to select. Selected items will be outlined in blue.
    • To select all pictures, click on the # item(s) selected in the upper left corner and choose select all. To deselect, click on the # item(s) selected and choose deselect all.
  4. You can edit the selected photos by clicking the options icon, or you can share them by clicking the share icon, or you can delete them by clicking the delete icon.
  5. When you are finished, click done in the upper left corner in the top bar.

Here you can edit settings for:

  • Wireless and Networks
  • Device
    • Sound: Change notification sounds and volume on AireCenter.
    • Display: Change wallpaper, sleep settings, and font size.
    • Storage: View available space on Flash, unmounts Flash, and erase data from Flash.
    • Apps: View apps that were downloaded, are on an SD card, or are running.
      • To uninstall, force stop, clear data from app, or clear cache, select the app from the list and click the respective buttons.
    • Permissions: View and adjust permissions for apps.
  • Personal
    • Location: Allow/Deny apps from using your location information.
    • Security: Manage device administrators and view and install CA certificates.
    • Backup & reset: Back up data and erase all data on AireCenter (factory reset).
  • Accounts
    • Manage your different accounts (Google, Skype, etc.) or add new accounts.

    • Date & time: Set the date and time and how it is displayed.
    • Accessibility: Adjust text size, mouse wheel zoom, text-to-speech output, and web accessibility.
    • Printing: Use any printing services installed.
    • Developer options: Take bug reports, debug, monitor CPU usage, and manage app activity.
    • About MediaBox: View the properties of AireCenter.
